Very well done to those parenst who are giving their children a very nutritious lunch such as carrot sticks, dates, walnuts, baked beans, fruit salad etc.

The whole e-Twinning project ‘A Snapshot of Europe’ with all the photos uploaded on the appropriate site have to be ready by April so I would like to have at least some photos in my hand by Wednesday 17th February, after the Carnival holidays.

Then the ICT teacher can come in class and he can start to show the children the process to upload the pictures.  When I’ll be at home you can continue to send me the photos over e-mail.  The same photos will be used for another ICT project for Maltese schools.  The project will be called ‘A Snapshot of Malta’ and together with the ICT teacher we will produce a ‘photostory’ which will then be uploaded on this blog.

I understand that these things might be a bit of a burden for you but honestly I feel that children should be exposed to this things from a very young age.

e-Twinning project – Coding the Pictures

Dear pupils and parents,

Further to our e-Twinning photo project ‘A snapshot of Europe’, I would like to ask you to give a code to your photos (rename) as instructed by the project administrators, before you give them to me on the pen-drive.  This is a guideline how this code should be given:

¨      N for NaturePe for PeoplePl for Places –  S for Sport

¨      mlt for Malta

¨      Name of child eg:  CatherineBezzina

¨      Number eg:  1, 2, 3 starting from 1 up the number of pictures

Example: “NmltCatherineBezzina1”  is the name given to a Nature picture in Malta taken by Catherine Bezzina

If the student has more than one picture in the same category then it will be called NmltCatherineBezzina2 and so on.

To help out renaming the files the Name parts are indicated with different colours NmltCatherineBezzina1

“PemltValentinaBorg1”  is the name given to a People picture in Malta taken by Valentina Borg.

Make sure that you leave the original file extension with the name eg.  .jpg .bmp etc
